太棒了 光是断句就好笑 这部应该是我看完Simon的Do Nothing和Numb之后唯一一次看到这么触动我心的stand-up了 每集的开头的结尾都有很强的情感厚度 讲到比较personal的时候就一直想哭 段子里一直反复出现某一种非常specific的物品再加上复古的衣服 那种奇奇怪怪broken genius的气质很符合我的口味 有时候分不清是stage persona 还是真实的情感流露 把悲伤包裹在笑话中 no more jobs那段太感同身受 贯穿整场的undercover cop人设让我想到我很多时候接受不了身边的环境就幻想自己只是卧底在这里观察人类 有一天会有来自另一个世界的使者接我回家 可能他也是在这样安慰自己吧
从头到尾有太多太多喜欢的笑话了 今天看了Anthony Jeselnik的新special 喜欢的笑话整场下来只有两个 又回到这部重新看 太喜欢了 有很多伏笔照应 重复看的时候知道有照应看到伏笔埋下激动死了 关于being raises Christian对James的影响在James的一个采访里他讲到自己20多岁才怀疑自己的基督教信仰 也是20多岁才lost virginity 不是要等到结婚但是他想等到真爱(I was holding it out for love.)n他的衣服我真的好喜欢

在看了这部单口之后彻底爱上了James Acaster 在YouTube上几乎看完了他出现的所有的视频 买了他classic scarpes的书 出于对于这部special的obsession我还买了dr.pepper喝 ao3上有他和Ed Gamble的同人文 和Just Puddings一起看很有感觉 我觉得我将来会去英国在爱上Simon Amstell和James Acaster之后就是注定的了 全额奖学金请给我吧

我对James的喜欢如同许多内敛的人对simon的喜欢类似。nSimon是一种忧郁的脆弱感,James是一种别扭拧巴的敏感。
完全能够理解他那种矫饰下的别扭,在新专场冷千层面那里更加明显了。但作为代表作,我还是推荐Recognize,这算是一种异质演员了吧。
下为几年前第一次看Repertoire的影评。
春叶,一个怪诞的吟游诗人。

这是一个非常英式幽默的专场,充斥着诡谲的生活观察。n
任何负面情绪到了英国人脑子里,加工处理后都成为了自嘲和反讽。
和其他英国演员相比,他的素材来源更加天马行空,而且有很多突破常规的反转和陷阱,完全不按照逻辑出梗。很有趣的一点是,他真实经历的含量低到不像一个单口演出:
全是虚假的经历,只有真实的情绪,但虚假的经历的包装下却全是真实的自我。
整个专场像是先陈列了一堆不着边际的寓言故事,但在收尾的部分会全部串联在一起,第一次看的时候会有一种 ‘世界线收束’,浑身起鸡皮疙瘩的感觉。n
结尾的部分,看似在刻薄尖酸的嘲弄他人,但所有人都心知肚明他在欲盖弥彰地剖析可悲可怜的自己。
而且春叶每一个专场都会有一些新元素,音乐,录音,白板,乐器;他在舞台上的大幅度的肢体动作也有很强的怪诞之感,像在跳大神一样。
很多地方虽然我不能理解他的八竿子打不着的幽默,但是能欣赏这种独特的美学。
但是Repertoire的短板也非常明显,这四个专场的同质性太高,结构也很相似;
后三个专场前期的铺陈,可能是因为文化环境的差异,给人感觉有些晦涩,短时间连续看的话很容易审美疲劳。
而且各种新元素的掺杂提高了欣赏的门槛,对观众的要求较高。n
个人强烈推荐第一个专场 Recognize,这是四个专场里前期的飞天小幽默最大众化且无需相关文化背景的卡段,作为四个专场之首,第一次听到末尾十分钟会惊艳到让人毛骨悚然,然后陷入一种氐惆之中。
PS: 我补了一些他在英国综艺里的片花,英国的同僚对他的观感是,‘一个会穿着裙子头套书包睡在草丛里过夜也不奇怪的人’。
