第二部的感覺就好很多。vada與父親的關係好了很多，而且shelly也懷孕了，就真的是一家人了。
而且這一部中還有一個主題，vada要去媽媽的故鄉L.A去尋找關於媽媽的故事，感覺很像一場冒險。在那她認識了Nick，說真的，男主角實在是比第一部的帥很多很多倍。就這一點，足以讓我愛上本劇。而且兩個小孩子還有感情戯呢，有什麽比這個更好呢？！
十几二十年前在CCTV6看过第一部，深为感动，时至今日才知道这部电影有续集。这部电影延续了第一部Vada寻找自我的主题，这部戏中她来到了洛杉矶，在Nick的帮助下通过寻访她素未谋面的妈妈的形形色色的朋友们，试图拼凑出自己丰满，立体的母亲的形象，从而更深入了解、认识自我，获得对自我身份的充分认同。整部片基调温馨，跟第一部的内容和风格还是非常统一的。
