The wedding is attended by a heterogenous group of people from all strata of Polish society, who dance, get drunk and lament Poland's 100-year-long division of Poland under Russia, Prussia, and Austria. The bridegroom, a painter friend, and a journalist each in turn is confronted with spectres of Polish past. In the end a call to arms is called but turns out to be a hoax
印象最深刻的是摄影恨不得要把镜头直接怼演员脸上去。
大量神秘、狂欢的镜头情节交织在一起，我竟然回忆起人艺上演的《先人祭》，并为那个狂喊的演员感动，当时我可是厌烦而至于中途退场。
电影里很多场景让人觉得没法“演”出来，因为让人感觉不是在拍某个人，而是一直游弋在婚礼现场，寻找突发最抓你眼球的镜头。但是实际上，这部电影一定是严格导演出来，可以看到每个演员的走位、表情都是经过事先精心设计出来的。这是最难的一种方式吧。
